Reentry Resources

Posted on

The following resources can assist you in accessing new opportunities that may be available to you with the removal of a felony from your record:

Benefits Cal: This site connects you to applications for Medi-Cal, County Medical Services Program (CMSP), CalFresh (formerly known as Food Stamps) and California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) benefits in California.

Covered California: Access resources to assist you in securing health care coverage.  Click here for in-person enrollment help.

Roadmap to Reentry Guide: The “Roadmap to Reentry” Guide, produced by Root & Rebound, is the first of its kind in the United States, an in-depth legal resource for people struggling through reentry and those who support them. It covers nine areas of law and civic life: housing, public benefits, parole & probation, education, understanding & cleaning up your criminal record, ID & voting, family & children, court-ordered debt, and employment. With a California focus, the guide is written in simple language and meant to be used as a resource that people can turn to whenever they encounter challenges along the way. The guide has a user-friendly table of contents that people can use to quickly and easily navigate to the chapters they need.  Contact Root & Rebound to set up a training in your community at roadmap@rootandrebound.org.
